These Regulations amend the Environment Protection (Ozone) Regulations, 2010. The definition of Convention is added referring to the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer, 1985. A new Regulation 18A is inserted which requires an environmental impact assessment for a project or activity requiring the installation or use of cooling equipment that has high global warming potential within the meaning of the Convention.
