This Order sets regulations with regard to the labelling and advertising of foodstuffs within the European Community (articles 3-4, 10-15 apply only for food marketed in Denmark). Criteria applies to all foodstuffs and food products, which must indicate precise ingredients contained in foodstuffs, beverages, fruit and vegetables, etc. for human consumption. Provisions in this document may be waived if the food is intended for sale within the EU and is labelled in adherence to regulations in force in the related country.
This Order consists of 11 Chapters: Scope (1); Definitions (2); Labelling language (3); Additional provisions for the labeling of prepackaged food (4); Labeling of food treated with ionizing radiation (5); Marking of non-prepacked food, food sold at the request of the consumer and food packed for direct sale (6); Lot number (7); Labelling of wholesale packages of frozen food (8); Labelling of extraction agents (9); Labelling of fish products and aquaculture products (10); Penalties and entry into force (11).
