In accordance with the Additional Clause 2 of the Environment Law No. 2872, the institutions, agencies and enterprises which may cause pollute or give damage to the environment are obliged to establish an environmental management unit, employ environmental officers, or get service from the institutions and agencies authorized by the Ministry. This Regulation lays down rules for the minimum requirements, obligations, working procedures and principles, and application procedures for proficiency certificates for environmental officers, environmental engineers, environmental management units and environmental consultancy firms that work in accordance with the Regulation on Environmental Permit and License.
