In accordance with paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 6 of the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade, the Secretariat had previously received a proposal from the Lao People's Democratic Republic to list cypermethrin emulsifiable concentrate 35% in Annex III to the Convention as a severely hazardous pesticide formulation and had verified that the proposal contains the information required under part 1 of Annex IV.
