This Act lays down provisions concerning (i) the marketing of seeds and seedlings of cultivated plants, (ii) the registration of rights related to groups of cultivated plants (those specified in Annex 1), (iii) control of compliance with these provisions and (iv) penalties to be applied in case of infringement. The Act also establishes the fees for requests for registration of persons dealing with the marketing of reproduction material. The Act is composed of the following Sections: (1) Varieties, seeds and seedlings of cultivated plants; (2) Amendments to the Act on the Use of Genetically Modified Organisms and Products; (3) Amendments to the Act on administrative fees; (4) Amendments to the Act on the protection of plant variety rights; (5) Entry into force.
