This Directive lays down the characteristics to be covered, as a minimum, by the official inspections for the acceptance of vine varieties. Member States shall also ensure that the minimum conditions listed in Annex II hereto are fulfilled at the time of the inspections. Annex I to the Directive defines the above-mentioned characteristcs. The Annex consists of the two following parts: (A) Morphological characteristics considered in the examination for distinctiveness, stability and homogeneity; (B) Physiological characteristics considered in the examination for distinctiveness, stability and homogeneity.
