This Law does not apply to Greenland nor the Faroe Islands. However, article 1 may wholly or partially be enforced - by royal decree - for the Faroe Islands with special modifications for this territory.The Law contains provisions implementing parts of the European Parliament and Council Directive 2001/97/EC of 4 December 2001 (Official Journal 2001 L 344, p 76), amending Council Directive 91/308/EEC on prevention of the use of the financial system for money laundering (Money Laundering Directive) (Official Journal 1991 No. L 166, p 77).
