The Decree approves the regulation making provisions for the implementation and integration of Act No. 1096 of 25 November 1971. The text of the regulation is provided in the annex. The regulation concerns the issue by the President of the Chamber of Commerce of the authorization to the production of seeds. It also makes provisions in matter of intellectual property rights, packaging and labelling of seeds and establishes the procedure to be followed for the registration of new seeds varieties by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to be published in the Official Gazette. Articles 21-36 concern the criteria and the requirements for the certification and classification of propagating material.
