This Government Regulation lays down some amendments to the Regulation on indicators and values of acceptable pollution of surface waters and waste waters, on permits to discharge waste waters into surface water and sewerage, and on sensitive areas. In particular, the present Regulation establishes: new emission standards including pollution limits for individual industrial and agricultural sectors; relevant indicators of pollution of wastewater containing hazardous substances; environmental quality standards for surface waters and conditions for the use of water for water supply purposes; environmental quality standards for selected indicators intended to assess the ecological status of water; environmental quality standards for assessing the chemical status of surface water.
