This Regulation prescribes all necessary administrative and technical rules aimed to establish the unique system for the identification and registration of bovine animals on the territory of the Croatian Republic.
The system for the identification and registration of bovine animals shall comprise the following elements: a) ear tags to identify animals individually; b) computerized databases; c) movement/transport documents; d) copy of holder’s register of bovine animals.

The provisions of article 3, paragraph 3, article 4, paragraph 2, second indent, article 6, paragraph 1, second indent, article 6, paragraph 3, first indent, article 7, paragraph 1, third indent, articles 8, 11 and 16, article 17, paragraph 4, articles 18 and 21, article 27, paragraph 5, article 30 and Annex II of this Regulation shall enter into force on the date of the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union.
