This Regulation prescribes the necessary methods (technical and administrative rules) for sampling and laboratory tests (also in order to determine the effective contents of total dry matter; fat content; the content of total dry matter without fat; total nitrogen content; content of the protein; specific masses) over the thermally processed and raw milk that is intended for direct human nutrition/consumption.
This Regulation further determines the adoption of the rules and terms contained in the following documents: Council Decision 92/608/EEC of 14 November 1992 laying down methods for the analysis and testing of heat-treated milk for direct human consumption; Commission Regulation (EC) No 2074/2005 of 5 December 2005 laying down implementing measures for certain products under the Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council and for the organization of official controls under the provisions of the Regulation (EC) No 854/2004 of the Parliament and of the Council, derogating from Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 of the European the European Parliament; Council Regulation (EC) No 882/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
