This Regulation provides for the establishment of limit values and alert thresholds for concentrations of ozone in ambient air in order to avoid and prevent harmful effects of this pollutant on human health and the environment.
The General Director of the National Centre on Environment and sustainable development shall be responsible for ensuring uniform conditions for the assessment of ozone levels throughout the Country, for exchanging information concerning ambient air ozone levels with the European Environmental Agency, and for informing and warning the population in case of exceeding of established alert thresholds.
This Regulation provides for the establishment of limit values and alert thresholds for concentrations of ozone in ambient air in order to avoid and prevent harmful effects of this pollutant on human health and the environment.
