The present Law implements the Foodstuff and Feedstuff Codex in its version of 26 April 2006 (BGBl. I p. 945), the Provisionsal Tobacco Act in its version of 9 September 1997 (BGBl. I p. 2296) and the Consumer Information Act of 5 November 2006 (BGBl. I p. 2558, 2560). In particular, the Law lays down provisions relating to the correct and efficient enforcement of the afore-mentioned Act. The text consists of 15 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: Foodstuff control authorities, competences (1); Control personnel, private experts (2); Tobacco and tobacco products (3); Enforcement of the Consumer Protection Act (3); Final provisions (4).
