The Conference of the Parties

1. Welcomes with appreciation the contributions made by the Governments of China and Uruguay1 and by the European Union,2 as co-leads, and by the small intersessional working group established pursuant to paragraph 6 of decision BC-15/11 to the tasks pertaining to the technical guidelines on the environmentally sound management of waste lead-acid batteries and other waste batteries;
