شكل من أشكال الأكسجين التآصلي يحتوي على ثلاث ذرات في الجزئ. وهو غاز لونه ضارب إلى الزرقة، نشط جدا كيميائيا وعامل مؤكسد قوي. ويتكون الأوزون عندما يتعرض الأكسجين أو الهواء لتفريغ كهربي ساكنة. ويظهر في الهواء العادي بكميات ضئيلة جدا فقط.
