This Decree lays down detailed provisions on the organization of the Presidency. The following boards have been established within the Presidency: (i) Science, Technology and Innovation Policies Board, (ii) Education and Training Policies Board, (iii) Economic Policies Board, (iv) Security and Foreign Policies Board, (v) Legal Policies Board, (vi) Culture and Arts Policies Board, (vii) Health Policies Board, (viii) Social and Youth Policies Board, (ix) Agriculture and Food Policies Board, (x) Local Government and Disaster Policies Board.
The Science, Technology and Innovation Policies Board shall conduct research and develop policies in the fields of R&D, information society, entrepreneurship, economic development, human capital, social development, comparative advantage of Türkiye in regional and global competition, competitiveness of indutsry, research infrastructure and advanced technologies.
The duties and powers of the Agriculture and Food Policies Board are as follows: (a) conducting research on food safety and risk analysis,(b) developing policy recommendations for increasing the supply of plant and animal products and product quality, (c) conducting research on the effective use of water resources and preventing water losses and making policy recommendations, (d) conducting research to improve food production and consumption habits, (e) conducting research and creating policy recommendations for the protection, improvement and diversification of local genetic resources in agriculture and animal husbandry, and (f) developing policies and strategies in the field of biosecurity.
The Local Government and Disaster Policies Board shall develop policy and strategy proposals as regards urbanization; local government; migration and settlement; preparedness, prevention, intervention and recovery regarding disasters and emergencies; protection of environment and cultural heritage; and smart cities.
