The Secretariat gave an overview on the status of implementation of the COP-5 decisions MC-5/2, MC-5/3 and MC-5/5. Decision MC-5/2 is on mercury supply sources and trade; MC-5/3 on the study on mercury compounds; and MC-5/5 on cosmetics. During the session, the Secretariat also presented the content of the study of the global supply, production, trade and use of mercury compounds, which is available for review on the Convention’s website, and welcome comments from Parties and other stakeholders.
