This Programme for control testing of seed and planting material on genetically modified organisms (GMOs) for the year 2021, based on the provisions of the Law on agricultural plant seeds and Law on planting material, determines control tests for seed and planting material on GMOs (tests for seed and planting material for subject to genetic modifications), especially in relation to varieties created by selection with genetic modifications. Control tests are carried out to determine the possible presence of GMOs by taking samples of seed and planting material which is imported and placed on the market in Montenegro. Control tests are performed on samples from trade and production, in accordance with sampling plans of competent administrative body for phytosanitary affairs.
