This Law regulates the conditions and manner of production, transport and import of fruit trees, vines, hops, medicinal and aromatic plants and their planting material, also defines the necessary procedure and process for the recognition of varieties of planting material, registration of varieties and issues regarding the Register of seedlings, and other issues of importance for the production and sale of planting material on the territory of the Republic of Montenegro.
The Law is divided into XI Chapters and 70 articles. Chapters are the following: Basic provisions (I); Production of planting material (II); Professional control of planting material (III); Quality of planting material (IV); Packaging, declaration and labelling (V); Trade (VI); Import (VII); Recognition of a variety or surface and registration of varieties and rootstocks (VIII); Inspection (IX); Penalty provisions (X); Transitional and final provisions (XI).
