These Regulations amend the Forest (Control of Timber) (Export of Unprocessed and Primarily Processed Indigenous Hardwoods) Regulations, 2001 (S. I. 112 of 2001). Section 3 is amended to prohibit export of all species of indigenous trees in unprocessed and primarily processed form. A new section 4 is added providing for penalty and seizure of consignment of unprocessed or primarily processed indigenous trees destined for export.
