In order to combat and prevent the occurrence and spread of African swine fever (ASF) on the territory of the Republic of Croatia, this Order determines the reduction of the number of wild boars (Sus scrofa L.). In order to implement this Order, the following is allowed: hunting in a hunting lodge for wild boar – sow; the use of optical sights for night hunting with the possibility of electronic magnification for hunting wild boar, fox and woodchuck outside protected areas; after obtaining a report from a veterinary inspector, shoot domestic pigs found in the hunting area outside the registered pig-keeping facility, with a hunting weapon, while respecting the prescribed conditions for the use of hunting weapons and ammunition, as for wild boar.
