This Act makes amendments in the principal Act by inserting the definitions of General Manager of the National Health Insurance (NHI) Scheme and open tendering procedure in Section 69 of the principal Act; repealing subsection (2) of Section 70 of the principal Act as regards the appointment of Chief Executive Officer of the NHI Scheme; inserting Section 70A on the appointment of a General Manager to be responsible for the management of the NHI Scheme; amending Section 75 regarding the members of the NHI Committee.
