This Law amends the purpose of Special Economic Zones in Section 5 as: "A Special Economic Zone is an economic development tool for the promotion of economic growth by using targeted support measures to encourage and facilitate the development of and investment in manufacturing, technology and tradable services." Moreover, Section 21 of the principal Act regarding support measures is repealed in its entirety and replaced as indicated in Section 4 of this Act.
