Decision directed to Plants Committee

The Plants Committee shall: 

a) review the: 

i) Report of the interdisciplinary study and the potential scope of an initiative on CITES and Forests; and 

ii) conclusions and recommendations from the CTSP-ITTO Review of Trade in Selected CITES-listed Tree Species; 

b) provide feedback to the Secretariat on the reports to inform implementation of Decision 20.21; 

c) report to the Standing Committee on its implementation of Decision 20.22, paragraphs a) and b), to ensure that any measures identified to support the timely and effective implementation of the CITES Forest Compendium are technically and scientifically coherent, and supportive of provisions relevant to the implementation of the Convention; and 

d) in collaboration with the Secretariat, taking into account the initial coordination with the CPF, consider the best way to facilitate CITES collaboration with the CPF and present its recommendations to the Standing Committee.
