The defendants plead guilty for possession of prohibited fishing gear for the purpose of fishing, which is an offence contrary to the Fisheries Management Act and one of of the Fisheries Management Conservation Regulations.

The defendants were seen by the Fisheries Officers about to go fish using gas bottles which was not allowed in accordance with the legislation stated above as it is not a sustainable way of fishing.

All defendants were ordered to pay a fine.
