**Background** The constituted bodies have continued to implement activities agreed in their workplans for 2020 and 2021 in spite of the challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. All constituted bodies have also made available their reports as mandated in 2020, and in some cases also in 2021, in keeping with the guidance of the Bureau of maximizing progress and minimizing delays in the UNFCCC process. Similar to the event convened during the closing of the Climate Dialogues, another dialogue will be held with the Chairs of the constituted bodies to hear progress on the work of their respective bodies in the first half of 2021, and to highlight the importance of that work towards ensuring a robust outcome at COP 26.
