A virtual training workshop on National Reporting on the Population Status of Native AEWA-listed and Non-native Species of Waterbirds for the Period 2019-2024 will be organised by the UNEP/AEWA Secretariat, with technical support from Wetlands International Europe for the preparation and delivery of the training. The training will take place on 6 October 2026 and is aimed at English-speaking participants. 

The workshop is intended to facilitate the compilation and submission of these reports to the 10th Session of the Meeting of the Parties to AEWA (MOP10). It will provide practical guidance to Designated National Respondents, who are responsible for coordinating the preparation, completion and submission of National Population Status Reports required under the AEWA reporting framework. Among other things, the training aims to familiarise participants with the reporting requirements, methodology, data sources and tools relevant to the AEWA Population Status Reporting process. 

A training aimed at French-speaking participants will take place on 8 October 2026.
