These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 270 read with section 63 of the Customs Management Act, 2011. They prohibit the import of certain goods into Seychelles, specified in the First Schedule appended thereto. Prohibited goods include controlled drugs, toxic chemicals, waste and waste products. They restrict import of goods mentioned in the Second Schedule. Prior approval of the authority mentioned in the second schedule must be obtained for importing of such goods. Restricted goods include certain meats, fish, eggs, animals and their by-products, plants and plant products, certain spices, fertilisers, endangered species, plastics products, ships and vessels, and radioactive substances.
