This Act concerns measures for management of insurance undertaken in the Northwest Territories and applies to all insurers carrying on business in the Territories. The Act concerns the following matters: accident insurance; compensation association; contract; credit insurance; fire insurance; inland transportation insurance; insurance against loss or damage to property; insurance fund; livestock insurance and property to be insured, as insurance against loss through the death or sickness of or accident to an animal; marine insurance; property damage insurance; issuance of licences for every insurer; fire insurance licence; general offences and punishment; terms and conditions of contracts of insurance; insurance against loss of or damage to property arising from the peril of fire; radioactive contamination; contract of nuclear energy liability insurance; unfair or deceptive acts or practices in the business of insurance.
