These Regulations, made under section 22(4) of the Physical Planning and Development Act, Cap. 5.12, concern environmental impact assessment for land development projects. The Regulations concern: screening guidelines; consultations with any governmental agencies, non-governmental organisations and members of the public on the content of the environmental impact assessment; environmental evaluation and impacts of the proposed development; qualified persons to conduct assessment; public participation in assessment; minimum contents of environmental impact assessment; review and further requirements; public scrutiny of environmental impact statement; characteristics of proposed development, and: sustainable use of natural resources, management of waste, management of pollution and nuisances created by the proposed development, risk of accidents; location of proposed development.
