The present Ordinance implements the Nature Protection Law of 13 December 2005 and the Directive 2009/147/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the conservation of wild birds of 30 November 2009. In particular, Annex 1 of the afore-mentioned Ordinance lists cities and towns with bird sanctuaries; bird reserves in alphabetical order, and area-specific conservation objectives. Annex 2 enumerates names of bird protection areas in the State of Baden-Württemberg. The text consists of 5 articles and 2 Annexes.
