The purpose of this Act is also to give effect in the law of Gibraltar to Council Directive 96/59/EC on the disposal of polychlorinated biphenyls and polychlorinated terphenyls. The Act is divided into 13 sections. Main topics covered are: title and commencement; interpretation; prohibition on holding without registration; prohibition on holding irrespective of registration; labelling of contaminated equipment; registration; cancellation of registration or particulars; inventory of contaminated equipment; information for the inventory; information for the public; offences and penalties; regulations; amendment of the Public health Act.
