This Law provides the framework for subsidy to fisheries and aquaculture sectors, where resources are used according to regional development and sustainability. The Minister of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries shall establish criteria requirement for such grants.

This Law does not apply to Greenland nor the Faroe Islands.The Law shall continue to apply for grants awarded on the basis of applications filed prior to the statutory repeal.
