This Regulation establishes diagnostic procedures, sampling methods and criteria for the evaluation of the results of laboratory tests for the confirmation and differential diagnosis of swine vesicular disease.
The detection of swine vesicular disease and differential diagnosis of foot and mouth disease is based on: a) determining the clinical signs of the disease; b) detection of virus antigen or genome in samples of epithelial tissues, fluids or feces from the vesicles; c) determining the response of specific antibodies in serum samples, in accordance with the procedures, sampling methods and criteria for evaluating the results of laboratory tests.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
