This Regulation prescribes the implementation of obligatory measures in approved slaughtering, processing, processing and storing of products of animal origin in order to reduce microbiological and other contamination of meat, meat products and other products of animal origin, in order to protect human health and obtaining animal health conditions laid in the Republic of Croatia with the conditions that are prescribed by the United States and by the Council of the European Union.
The purpose of the prescribed measures is to improve the performance of veterinary public health control of foodstuffs of animal origin in order to preserve the health of people, removing barriers of international trade in animals and animal products, and retaining the right to export meat, meat products and other products of animal origin.
The deadline for implementing the control of production processes in accordance with the provisions on the implementation of the HACCP system, for the approved establishments classified as export facilities, is 1 January 1998.
