This Regulation specifies the categories of items for which the solution is not necessary for the purpose of import, and regarding animal health requirements.
The provisions of this Regulation shall not apply to shipments that are originate from a country or part of the country from which it is prohibited to import.
Shipments of live animals for which no solution for import is necessary are: a) shipments of live animals originating from the member states of the European Union, except for animals that are imported into the centers for the collection of semen, ova and embryos, and are intended to obtain semen, ova and the natural mating; b) shipments of registered horses, pets, laboratory animals, pigeons for competitions and exhibitions, bees, bumble bees and other insects, live bait for the bait fish and snails originating from countries other than EU member states.
This Regulation specifies the categories of items for which the solution is not necessary for the purpose of import, and regarding animal health requirements.
On the effective date of this Regulation, the Regulation on items that can be imported without a resolution laying down animal health requirements for import shipments (Official Gazette 73/09, 100/09 and 04/10) will be no longer in force.
