This Regulation prescribes measures to control and eradicate the bovine tuberculosis.
In order to shorten the period required for the eradication of bovine tuberculosis in accordance with the prescribed program, the following measures should be taken: a) program to eradicate bovine tuberculosis must ensure that all is cattle under control; b) cattle owners must provide compensation for slaughtered animals according to their market value; c) number of laboratory personnel and the conditions for implementation of laboratory diagnosis should be at a satisfactory level that allows the implementation of the program; d) appropriate measures to combat bovine tuberculosis must be systematically applied.
It is prohibited to apply: a) any therapy or treatment that can desensitize bovine tuberculosis; b) vaccination against bovine tuberculosis.
For the purpose of official control of movement and transport of animals, all cattle must be identified and registered in accordance with special Regulations.
The competent authority shall maintain and regularly update the official records of the herd of cattle in the program for the eradication of bovine tuberculosis, classified according to their health status.
The veterinarian, in case of occurrence or suspected occurrence of bovine tuberculosis, shall immediately inform the competent veterinary office in accordance with special Regulations.
