This Regulation sets concentration limit values and alert thresholds for a range of air pollutants such as sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, fine particulate matter and lead.
Municipal Authorities, in coordination with the relevant Regional Environmental Inspectorate, shall undertake the corresponding measures in order to maintain the levels of such air pollutants under the exceeding limit values.
The relevant competent authorities shall ensure that adequate information on levels of air pollutants is made available to the public.
