This Regulation provides the specific rules for the organization and implementation of official controls to be performed/carried out on the production areas (and their relaying areas) of live bivalve molluscs (on the territory of the Republic of Croatia), and further prescribes the terms of the Plan for monitoring the quality of sea and shellfish production areas and relaying areas for live bivalve molluscs.
This text transposes the provisions contained in the following documents: Annex II, Chapter II, Part A, paragraph 1, and Part B, paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Regulation (EC) No. 854/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 laying down specific rules for the organization of official controls on products of animal origin intended for human consumption (including its amending Regulation (EU) no. 517/2013 of 13 May 2013).
