The present Regulation lays down provisions relating to pits and quarries. Section 2 establishes that no person may operate a pit or quarry, use a crushing or screening process in a quarry or increase the production of such crushing or screening process without a certificate of authorization by the Minister. The text consists of 58 sections divided into 8 Parts as follows: Interpretation (I); Certificate of authorization (II); Siting standards (III); Water pollution control (IV); Air pollution control (V); Seismic waves (VI); Land restoration (VII); Final provisions (VIII). Five Schedules are enclosed.
