The Act lays down rights and obligations of legal persons and individuals in the plant production sector. The provisions concern: (a) protection of plants and plant products against harmful organisms and accidents in agriculture and forest management areas; (b) protection against the introduction into the territory of the Czech Republic of organisms harmful to plants or plant products, from other member countries of the European Community and from third countries; (c) prevention of propagation of harmful organisms within the national territory and prevention of their spread to other member countries of the European Community or to third countries; (d) registration, marketing, usage and inspection of plant protection preparations and other means of plant protection.
